Ovarian follicular flushing among low responding ART patients
نویسندگان
چکیده
Follicular re-aspiration yielded similar oocyte recovery compared to direct aspiration (RR: 0.7; 95% CI: −0.9, 2.4; p=0.38), but entailed a longer procedure time (180 seconds; p<0.001) among low responding patients. A randomized comparison trial was performed to evaluate whether follicular re-aspiration using a double-lumen retrieval needle improves oocyte recovery when compared to direct follicular aspiration among low responding ART patients. There were no differences observed in the number of oocytes retrieved (single-lumen: 6.5±2.2 oocytes, double-lumen: 7.2±2.3 oocytes; p=0.38); while follicular re-aspiration with the double-lumen retrieval needle resulted in a 2-fold increase in procedure time (p<0.001).

O-27: Low Dose Aspirin Administration During IVF: Molecular Changes Potentially Involved in Detrimental Effects on Oocytes Maturation and Fertilization Rate
Background The hypothesis that the LDA (low-dose-aspirin) could improve ovarian and uterine perfusion induced clinicians to administer it in women undergoing IVF. Unfortunately, no studies have shown significant differences in terms of pregnancy rate among patients treated or untreated with LDA. The absence of proven clinical benefits of LDA supplementation, led us to wonder whether aspirin, ad...

Background Evaluation of anti-mullerian hormone (AMH) cut-off levels in assisted reproductive technology (ART) as predictive factor for individualization of stimulation protocols and to avoid ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS). MaterialsAndMethods In a retrospective study, 177 infertile patients were assessed for AMH in serum and follicular fluid (FF) on the day of follicular puncture (FP...
متن کاملI-38: Individualized Controlled Ovarian Stimulation: Matching Protocols with Patient Profile
The aim of all assisted reproductive techniques (ART) is a live birth of a single healthy baby. Many clinical and laboratory strategies can influence the ART clinical outcomes. In this lecture we try to explore the clinical and laboratory strategies to maximize success in ART. Three are the main issues: 1. optimize the number of oocyte retrieved with an individualized controlled ovarian superov...
متن کاملOvarian Cysts Formation During Depot Formulation of GnRH-a Therapy and the Effect of Pretreatment with Oral Contraceptive Pills on Subsequent Implantation and Pregnancy Rate in ART Cycles
Long protocol of Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone-analougue (GnRH-a) can result in the formation of ovarian cyst by the transient initial stimulatory effect which increases the levels of both follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH). These cysts require surgical drainage or result in poor ovarian response. Ovarian cyst formation can be prevented by taking oral contraceptive...
